Rochdale Dog rescue is a charity that works hard to rescue dogs that may be in danger of being put down after being in a pound for more than seven days. According to the website, many healthy dogs, through no fault of their own are put down if they are not claimed within a week. I think this charity would be an excellent one that schools could support, or certainly other charities like this.
